Position Overview:
The Corporate Customer Support Department (CCSD) provides essential administrative support to the scientific, technical, and administrative communities of NAVAIR. The Communications and Organizational Support Division, within the CCSD, provide administrative products and services to reinforce all the NAWCWD operations. This mission provides the NAWCWD with administrative readiness by providing a strategic workforce of excellence. The Administrative and Organizational Support Branch (MAO Code D/EC12200), within the Communications and Organizational Support Division, administers the Office Manager Entry Program (OMEP) and provides qualified candidates to meet the NAWCWD administrative, clerical, and secretarial needs.
General Clerks are responsible for filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine), following clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file and operating basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
