Mott is Hiring a Research & Development Engineer Near Plymouth, MI
Key Responsibilities:
- Experiment Design: Create and execute experimental design for new process & product development.
- New Technologies: Identify and generate new process technology with improved capacity, cost and/or performance.
- Development: Develop innovative solutions for technical problems.
- Evaluation: Evaluate customer’s sample materials, data, issue reports and make recommendations.
- Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Identifying solution for customers’ pain points
- Manage short-term R&D projects for new product and capabilities development
- >=95% On Time to Original Commitment (OTOC) on average for Engineered Solutions projects
- Minimum of 1 lab report per quarter and/or documentation of work within 2 weeks of milestone.
- Maintenance and updates to standard operating procedures and test results accurately in specified formats.
- Present product designs to management, stakeholders, and scientific platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or other related field. Master’s or Ph.D in related field preferred.
- Ability to conceptualize, design and execute new ideas for product development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to execute R&D plans as well as communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations to teams and leadership.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills for execution of water/wastewater related projects.
- Relevant experience as an R&D Engineer a plus.
- Experience with filtration equipment and industrial wastewater treatment.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills for execution of water/wastewater related projects.
- Working experience operating laboratory and pilot equipment.
