Portage County Historical Society is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Plover, WI

Position Title: Office Administrator

Reports to: Executive Director

Wages: 10-15 Hours Per Week at $17/hr.

Job Duties
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial information for bookkeeper.

- Enter donation information into donation database software, Bloomerang.

- Prepare gift acknowledgments for Executive Director’s signature.

- Prepare membership renewals for Executive Director's approval.

- Develop and execute cash handling and retail procedures.

- Oversee the overall administrative organization for the society.

- Staff a PCHS store location on Fridays and some Saturdays, hours to be determined.

- Assist with special events and programming as needed.

- Remain current on training and professional development as needed.

- Be proficient in all software and procedures within a 2-month probationary period.

- Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

- Associate degree or professional job experience in accounting, business, or a related field.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with Microsoft Excel knowledge.

- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software.

- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize.

- Positive mindset and a sense of humor.

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
