DIRECT REPORTS: Director of Key Accounts, Regional Sales Managers

Red Bull distributor responsible for servicing retail accounts in 13 counties in NC and 14 counties in SC.

POSITION DETAILS: This position will be based at our main hub in Charlotte, NC. Desired candidates will reside in the Charlotte, NC.

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Works side-by-side with brand. Serves as strategist for implementation of key Red Bull initiatives and successful PFP results and maintains a strong relationship with the supplier.
  • Ultimately responsible for the successful drive of initiatives at Hay. Ensures timely execution and participation of major initiatives through tracking and leadership management.
  • Leads all major presentations and business analytics for the company.
  • Strategizes comprehensive business plan and mitigates gaps as needed.
  • Manages leadership team, ensures alignment, and oversees results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Directs success with AIB and continuous improvement and leads implementation of action plans from each.
  • Minimizes damage and out of control product with development and execution of processes and accountabilities.
  • Develops a culture of employee engagement, Red Bull engagement and growth.
  • Completes crossover trainings. Serves as a sales mentor and engages in high pressure negotiations when needed.
  • Finds efficiency opportunities for the company and constantly works to seamlessly move the business in the most favorable ways.
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Develops succession plan, training needs assessment and training content in conjunction with the Director of Sales.
  • Takes a 360 approach to the business and looks at how all parts will impact the others. Works with brand to mitigate expected gaps and stays solution oriented.
  • Analyzes profitability by customer, route, segmentation, channel, and supplier and strategize improvements.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Develops, monitors, and ensures execution of 2–4-year strategic plan that includes service strategy, financial assessment, category assessment, taxation, regulations, philanthropic initiatives, talent platform assessment, technology assessment, fleet assessment and forecasting.
  • Implements national sales programs by overseeing field sales action plans that are submitted by DKA and RSMs.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Participates in interviews, disciplinary meetings and trainings as requested.
  • Works by the Hay mission, vision, and values at all times.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check
  • 5 or more years of sales management experience
  • 10 or more years of sales experience in the DSD field
  • Sales experience with high level buyers
  • College degree preferred
  • P&L Leadership Experience
  • Willingness to Travel 30% of time, with multi-days expected quarterly
  • Organization Leadership Preferred
