DUTIES: Develop software components for FreeWheel’s advertising platform products; develop software infrastructure to support AWS-based cloud services; develop internal platforms and services to enable expediency and self-service for development teams; write code and scripts using Python, GoLang, and Bash; deploy and maintain the PaaS (Platform as a Service) Databricks platform for development; develop Infrastructure as Code using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform to automate Databricks environment deployments, and to develop a library of scripts to automate different aspects of the environments; develop data architecture; perform networking; use Git, GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins for software configuration management and source code version control; architect and maintain software and infrastructure build, test, and deployment CI/CD pipelines; provision AWS using Terraform; integrate security tool components via DevOps automated pipelines; manage release branches and maintain the build process to support continuous integration; monitor the cloud platform using Prometheus, Grafana, and Prometheus Query Language (PROMQL); perform incident management, including investigating and documenting issues, debugging, and driving improvements to the engineering and build automation process; and participate in the weekly “on call”. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software infrastructure for AWS-based cloud services; architecting CI/CD pipelines; using Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Jenkins; writing scripts using Python and Bash; developing data architecture; performing incident management; and performing networking.
