Celestar Corporation is Hiring a Human resource generalist Near Perrysburg, OH

Location : Tampa, FL

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Facilitates the onboarding of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers and program managers to understand contract timelines and security requirements that affect candidate timelines for onboarding.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Facilitates offboarding of employees and related processes.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Communicates with HR Manager daily; provides updates of tasks in progress and any other relevant HR information.
  • Assists with facilities contractors as a backup.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, with a minimum of two years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP and / or PHR certification a plus.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer reading, reviewing / analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries, and / or reports via email or otherwise in written format.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Work environment : Temperature controlled. Noise levels are mostly moderate. May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
