We are seeking an experienced IT Quality/Test Engineer to research, test, and ensure the functionality and maintenance of Telematics products, equipment, and systems. This role involves developing testing procedures, problem-solving in real-time, and overseeing the process control and technical updates of software on Telematics devices over the air (FOTA).

Location: 100 NE Adams, Peoria, IL 61629 (Hybrid: Onsite Monday, Thursday, Friday; Remote Tuesday, Wednesday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing procedures for Telematics devices.
• Investigate and resolve field issues within the Telematics system.
• Assist Onboard and Offboard Service Engineers with quality investigations.
• Create and manage CPI Projects for quality issue resolution.
• Coordinate analysis of failed parts with engineering teams.
• Write communications to dealers regarding quality investigations.
• Perform software updates over the air to correct quality issues.
• Potential onsite validation at customer locations and occasional travel (up to 10%).

Required Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Hands-on experience in diagnosing and fixing issues.
• Knowledge of J1939 Datalink and Telematics systems.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Experience with OEM products and Telematics.

Education & Experience:

• Four-year degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in product support, IT networking, or mechanical work is preferred.
