POSITION SUMMARY:
To oversee the organization’s credit granting and collection process to ensure there is a low level of credit risks taken and cash flow is maintained.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
· Lead and support the credit team.
· Setting clear goals for the team.
· Evaluating their performance.
· Providing ongoing feedback.
· Training to enhance their skills.
· Review and approval of timesheets.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collect or negotiate payment arrangement of accounts receivable through daily contact with customers.
· Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable balance sheet on a monthly basis.
· Establish account terms and credit limits for new customers.
· Update credit lines and terms to adjust or revoke as necessary.
· Review of all customer orders placed daily to provide approval or denial of processing and shipment.
· Respond to customer questions or discrepancies and research to resolve.
· Report on delinquent accounts to upper management and salesperson monthly or as deemed necessary.
· Hiring and supervising of Credit assistant.
· Oversee the application and reconciliation of payments received on account as well as all other tasks of staff.
· Determine and communicate to outside agency on accounts turned over for collection.
· Maintain bad debt and recovery records.
· Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field Preferred
· 2-5 Years’ Management Experience
· Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
· Hands-on experience with accounting software
· Excelled verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED:
· SAP, Dun & Bradstreet
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged sitting
