Mayfield Senior School is Hiring a Human resource specialist Near Pasadena, CA

Description

Mayfield Senior School of the Holy Child Jesus, a 9-12 independent Catholic girls’ school in Pasadena, California, seeks a highly responsive and customer-service driven Human Resources Manager.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance the Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing Mayfield’s human resources (HR) programs and policies.

The Manager of HR must be mission-driven and committed to fostering a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment for all employees.

The Human Resources Manager will provide leadership and management in the following areas :

  • Develop and implement HR plans and policies to support the school’s mission, goals and strategic needs.
  • Oversee all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process, including developing position descriptions and job postings, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Manage payroll processing and administer the employee benefits program including health insurance, retirement plans and leave policies.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions and disputes and complaints of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct.
  • Assist in administering performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, and safety laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Provide HR consultation and support to school administrators, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Appreciation for the mission of Mayfield Senior School along with a commitment to Catholic education, Holy Child values and Catholic social teaching.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in HR management including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, or HR compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and laws
  • Emotionally intelligent problem-solver able to build rapport with employees at all levels and identify and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Organized and detail-oriented individual able to work independently as well as part of a team and manage multiple HR tasks and deadlines.

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000. A comprehensive benefits package will be provided including 403b matching contributions upon hire.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
