Based near Paramus, New Jersey, the Payroll Administrator position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.Your responsibilities- Manage payroll information requests and questions- Other duties as assigned- Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information- Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads- Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records- Calculate employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to determine payroll liabilities- Manage employee deductions and other liabilities- Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages- Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information- Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures- Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers- Provide help with all internal and external audits of payroll- Perform review and verification of source documents- Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
