Hobbs is looking for a Front of House Manager to join our team and lead its members to achieve successful and rewarding job experiences.
For this role, you should have solid training, organizational and people skills. The position’s requires positive guest interaction and resolution of guest issues. You must be available to work full shifts. Ultimately, you’ll ensure that we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
Train, Schedule and Oversee the Host, Wait, Bar and support staff
Act as Liaison to Chef and kitchen staff
Manage reservation platform
Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly, MA, NY...)
Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries that are beyond the host's purview
Assist wait staff and bar staff as needed
Organize and coordinate operations to ensure maximum efficiency
Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality
Handle customer complaints when necessary
Enforce adherence to regulations and quality standards
Management point of contact for FOH staff
Requirements
Proven experience as hospitality manager
Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices
Previous work experience as a Bartender or Waiter/Waitress
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Experience in managing reservations
Demonstrable customer-service skills
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
Problem-solving aptitude/attitude
Availability to work in shifts as needed
Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
