Accounts Receivable Clerk

As an accounts receivable clerk, you will be a vital part of our small accounting team. You will have the opportunity to take on responsibility and cross train in accounts payable, as well as help find solutions to unique accounting issues. This an ideal position for those looking for experience in the world of accounting. We are looking for someone who wants to learn new skills and leverage their previous experience to help us increase efficiency in our accounting department.

• Pay Range: $19.00-$21.50

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Invoicing orders for local and national customers
• Processing and collecting payment on customer invoices
• Communicating with customers - Responding to and resolving customer issues
• Ensuring accuracy of financial records and reports
• Send month end statements
• Taking on accounting team projects
• Cross-training with accounts payable and other accounting duties
• Designing novel accounting solutions to address growing pains

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Solid organization skills and an ability to be self-motivated
• Problem-solving and independent thinking
• Detail Oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to carry a box of documents weighing up to 30 pounds

Preferred skills, experience, and characteristics include:

• 1-2 years previous accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Exposure or familiarity with manufacturing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable accounting software systems
