The Center for Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD) is a mission-driven non-profit focused on delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and family-centered care to improve the quality of life for children and adults with blood disorders. The Human Resources team advances our mission by partnering with all administrative and clinical functions to create a positive employee experience that supports the delivery of patient care. The Human Resources Internship Program is designed to provide you real-world experience that challenges you to develop your skills and prepare you to lead at the next level of your career. Working side-by-side with an experienced leader, you will gain hands-on, Human Resources experience at each stage of the employee life-cycle. Because each intern's professional development goals are unique, your experience at CIBD will be tailored to advance your career in the areas of most interest to you. Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Intern provides critical administrative support to the Human Resources department in the following areas:
  • Recruiting: Posting new requisitions; Scheduling interviews; Coordinating and processing pre-hire recruiting requirements; Tracking ATS data
  • On-/Off-boarding: Coordinating, processing, and filing new hire/departure documentation
  • Benefits: Coordinating, processing, and filing benefit documentation for new enrollments/qualifying events/open enrollment; Updating benefits information for employee access and education; Tracking leave of absences
  • Records: Filing and maintaining personnel records; Audit files for compliance
  • Performance Management: Tracking and filing performance check-in reviews
  • Terminations: Coordinating, processing, and filing termination documentation
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (or Administration Associates' for Transfer degree) with a focus in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology, or Sociology from an accredited institution
  • Have reliable transportation to work on-site for the duration of the internship assignment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferable
  • Prior administrative experience in a business setting
  • Coursework completion in any of the following: Business Writing; Compensation; Employment/Personnel Law; Industrial/Organizational Psychology; Managing Operations; Organizational Behavior; Project Management; Research Methodology; Staffing; Statistics; Training and Development
About the Organization The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, and other related hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region/Region IX providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
