Lowboy Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials and heavy equipment oversized & overweight loads from jobsite to jobsite in a safe efficient and timely manner.
- Must be able to operate most general construction equipment and haul truck.
- Must have vast knowledge of all State and Federal DOT rules and regulations and maintain DOT logs.
- Before and after trips, drivers must inspect trucks and equipment, including fuel, oil, tires, lights, and water levels.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 yearsÂ’ experience as a lowboy operator.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must possess a valid class A CDL and clean driving record.
- Must be able to show clear understanding of equipment safety.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Be able to work well with others.
- Work well with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work outside and in a variety of temperature and weather conditions.
- Work in a safety conscious environment
- Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Must be physically able to access equipment either by kneeling, stooping, bending, constant climbing, and squatting.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
