Job Title: Quality Manager

Position Summary:

Car Tech is currently looking for a quality manager who can ensure that our final products satisfy legal, industry, and customer standards. The quality manager will oversee both the Quality Assurance and the Quality Control team in order to make sure that Car Tech’s internal quality teams are on the same page and working collaboratively towards the same goals. Quality managers are responsible for the overall quality of products being produced by the company, so it is important for applicants to have both a keen eye for detail and a thorough attitude well suited to a fast-paced work environment.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Car Tech LLC policies and procedures
  • Learns, demonstrates, and upholds Car Tech Values
  • Complies with all Car Tech Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures
  • Treats all Car Tech team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Adheres and comply to all safety policies and procedures
  • 5S, clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Duties and Responsibilities: (but not limited to)

· Monitor production lines and do periodic quality checks to see if there needs to be any improvements to the production process

· Developing production plans and quality policies with other team leaders to discuss solutions to any quality issues that may arise

· Diagnose and resolve any problems while complying with ISO requirements and other industry standards for automotive metal goods

· Investigate current quality assessment techniques and reduce inconsistencies and redundancies

· Continuously conduct updated research on industry trends, standards, legal specifications, and customer expectations and look for opportunities to improve Car Tech products

· Train new employees in Quality Control and Quality Assurance

· Track, record, and maintain quality data and compile the information into an easily understandable and digestible format to update the team

· Inspect raw materials to make sure that our suppliers are providing the company with a good foundational base for our metal products

· Meet all other requirements as assigned

Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and address any non-conformities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality goals and objectives
- Analyze production processes to identify potential areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and evaluate product quality through inspections, testing, and data analysis
- Train employees on quality assurance procedures and ensure adherence to established protocols
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, FDA regulations, and best practices in quality management
- Lead investigations into customer complaints or product defects, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures
- Fabricate reports and documentation related to quality control activities

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Quality Inspector preferred
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment where multiple priorities exist simultaneously
  • Proficient in the evaluation, analysis, and presentation of specialized data
  • Ability to be both a team player and a self-directed individual
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Diligent with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in automotive industry preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires lifting of parts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.

· 8 years of professional experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related field

· Prior experience in automotive industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
