Facility Description::
Thornberry Creek at Oneida is located in Oneida, WI. Nestled atop one of the highest peaks in Brown County and located just outside of Green Bay, Thornberry Creek at Oneida offers 27 holes of championship golf at its finest. An abundance of vistas and amenities will excite golfers and guests of all ages and abilities.
The two golf courses – both designed by Rick Jacobson – feature bent grass tees, fairways, and greens, and the varied landscape gives golfers a unique experience from hole to hole, from a forested “Northwoods” type setting at the start and finish of the Legends Course, to the prairie or meadow type environment in the middle holes as you play your way through one of Green Bay’s most prestigious neighborhoods.
Position Summary::
Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and appearance of the golf course grounds to the standards of the Oneida Golf Enterprise Corporation. Ensures the parking lots, curbs, lawns, and other areas are free of debris and clutter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
Meet and exceed customer expectations by ensuring the department provides the highest standard of customer service and teamwork.

• Perform grounds keeping work including but not limited to the following within the guidelines, standards and expectations of the property:
  • Mowing greens and tees, raking sand traps. trimming, edging, and weeding the property as needed.
  • Seed and water course as necessary based on course condition and weather conditions.
  • Daily collection of trash, litter and cigarette butts from the parking lots, sidewalks and lawns.
  • Properly clean and store equipment when finished with assigned task.
• Assist in maintaining all grounds keeping equipment including but not limited to mowers, trimmers, tractors, and hand tools.
• Daily maintenance checks of the golf course equipment to ensure they are in a safe working condition at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by golf course superintendent for necessary maintenance of the property.

Education/Qualifications/Certifications::
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Basic knowledge of grounds keeping equipment and maintenance techniques

• Basic understanding of methods and materials used daily in the maintenance of the grounds
• Basic English language communication and mathematical skills
• Ability to move and work throughout the Property for the duration of shift.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
• Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time, with the ability to extend arms, often times overhead.
• Must be able to work on and maneuver all types of grounds equipment.
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the functions of the job. High school diploma preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
