Oneida Nation is Hiring a Recruiter Near Oneida, WI

SALARY:: $21.55/Hr. (NEGOTIABLE)
(Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan, develop and assist in the coordination and implementation of a recruitment strategy to enhance the Oneida Nation’s Workforce. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide excellent customer service to applicants by providing tools for employability.
2. Interview applicants to explore career opportunities based on knowledge, skills and abilities.
3. Coordinate activities for facilitating interviewing skill seminars, meetings, special projects and workshops as needed.
4. Write, edit, and coordinate development of recruitment materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, advertisements, and/or brochures as appropriate.
5. Work with Hiring Generalists to review applicant information of applicants that meet the minimum qualification for placement into positions as requested.
6. Coordinate with HR Generalist and hiring manager to determine best recruitment process for position(s).
7. Post all positions on internal and external job boards as requested.
8. Provide applicants with information regarding workshops and/or classes offered through development.
9. Meet with applicants to ensure thorough completion of application.
10. May administer and interpret aptitude and proficiency tests.
11. Disseminate information on applicant development functions, procedures, employment programs to clients and employers.
12. Develop relationships and represent the Oneida Nation to various governmental agencies and service community in order to improve recruiting efforts.
13. Collaborate with recruiters and other employers to discuss ways to improve services and meet labor market needs more effectively.
14. Completes and assists managers with exit interview(s).
15. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
16. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
17. The above duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
1. Frequently walk, sit; occasionally stand, lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
2. Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
3. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include evenings and weekends.
4. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment and annually thereafter as required.

1. Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
2. Skill in facilitating small groups in a training setting.
3. Ability to research and develop instructional and training materials.
4. Ability to work as a team member and foster a positive working environment.
5. Ability to set and meet priorities, meet strict deadlines and the ability to successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of the Oneida Nation in dealing with the public.
8. Ability to inform and communicate verbally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations with the ability to process information effectively, identify and define problems and make objective decisions.
9. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the individuals of varying social and cultural
backgrounds.
10. Ability to organize resources, establish priorities, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
11. Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.
12. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures and Department Standard Operating Procedures.
13. Maintain strict departmental security, confidentiality and quality to meet professional standards of the department (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.)
14. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
15. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
16. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility
Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation’s Gaming Division.
17. A valid driver’s license or occupational driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license or occupational driver’s license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver’s license. Must be authorized as eligible to operate a Personal vehicle under the Oneida Nation’s Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Law prior to actual start date. Must maintain driver’s eligibility as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of Oneida Nation’s personnel policies and procedures.
2. Experience in developing and facilitating presentations.
3. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field.
2. Two (2) years of work experience in hiring, recruiting and/or employment or related field; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
