Watkins Concrete Block Company is looking for a high performing, results-oriented Individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard worker, and reliable. Watkins Concrete Block Company has endless opportunities for advancement and growth.
Position SummaryThis position Markets, promotes and sells products manufactured and distributed by Watkins Concrete Block to contractors, builders, general contractors, and other designated accounts. This is considered a full time, outside sales position for the company and focuses on warehouse products including EIFS (Dryvit), Chemicals, Sealants, and other restoration products. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. This position will also support Reimers Kaufman Concrete Products in Lincoln and working time will be an 80/20 split between Omaha and Lincoln, or as business determines. There will be Saturday hours. Reliable attendance required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maximizes sales and promotion of Watkins products to customer accounts.
Recruits and maintains new contractors to expand customer base; through creating, advancing, and closing new sales opportunities.
Develops a strong working knowledge of Watkins products to service and meet the changing needs of the customer.
Develops an understanding of competitive products to have a working knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the compared products.
Develops a working knowledge of new products and assists the Sales Manager with new product selection.
Obtains and maintains appropriate industry certifications relevant to the products promoted to designated customers.
Educates and informs contractors on installation of specific products in accordance with CMHA and/or other relevant trade associations.
Assists in the planning and coordination of seminars, trade shows, certification courses and other educational events.
Assists marketing department in developing and implementing marketing material to meet the needs of the company.
Assists Sales Manager in monitoring and updating customer pricing and customer price lists.
Assists General Manager and Sales Manager in implementing new procedures to ensure a positive customer experience to assigned customers.
Assists Credit Manager with collection of customer payments on past due accounts.
Attends and participates in all sales meetings, company meetings and attend other events, trade shows and industry association meetings as necessary.
Follows-up with customer sources with timely and accurate updates to assure overall customer satisfaction.
Works with other Watkins departments (logistics, systems, operation, credit, etc) to resolve any significant issues which may impact the sales process
