Description
The Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio and customer service in their assigned market in order to allow Commercial Loan Officers to focus on proactive business development and client retention activity.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for loan renewals on existing credits and presenting to the CLO for ratification.
- Responsible for the reviewing and testing borrowing bases.
- Responsible for reconciling construction loan draw requests.
- Responsible for overseeing loan repayment of existing loans in the portfolio, calling on escalated accounts as needed and escalating further to CLO as needed.
- Responsible for overseeing collection of loan exceptions of existing loans in the portfolio, calling on escalated items as needed and escalating further to CLO as needed.
- Responsible for executing activities approved by the Special Assets Committee, regarding criticized assets, such as demand notices, communicating with legal counsel and coordinating due diligence (i.e. appraisals & title work).
- Coordinate the liquidation of foreclosed/repossessed collateral once in the possession of CCB and a loan officer has implemented a liquidation plan.
- Responsible for screening loan requests and inquiries from individuals contacting the bank, as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring the CLO’s client interaction and contact with existing relationships of the bank to assist in loan retention efforts.
- Close commercial loans for CLOs as needed.
- Voting member of the bank’s Loan Officer Loan Committee.
Qualifications
Environment and Interaction:
- Normal office environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in commercial lending
