Description
The Leidos has a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager opening at Hill AFB, UT.
This manager will lead a diverse team of professionals supporting the Defense Information System Agency. The operations team provides 24 x 7 support, and is responsible for overall incident management, including restoral and reporting of the Optical Transport, IP, and legacy networks. The manager works closely with Shift Supervisors, regional NOC managers and Service Delivery Managers to establish cross functional processes and procedures and establish standard policies and procedures which are ITIL based and reflect the overall mission of the GSM-O II contract.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists senior Operations and Maintenance Manager(s) to oversee and direct all aspects of network operations within the Operations and Maintenance Service Delivery Thread.
Directly manage contractor and sub-contract support staff. Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Identification and management of issues, risks, and dependencies.
Status reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and customer as required.
Creating, documenting, and executing action plans. Work with the customer and external stakeholders to accomplish program goals in which we are dependent on them completing tasks.
Develop and implement technical training plans to support the core operations and future technologies
Coordinate directly with secondary sites (Scott AFB, IL) Operations Manager to ensure continuity of operations between both sites
Ensure all Incidents are addressed and worked to ensure timely restoration of services
Work directly with other NOC components to ensure support and coordination is occurring throughout all shifts
Manages aspects of multiple operations tasks simultaneously.
Some travel may be required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 8 years of leadership experience; additional years of Network Management experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security CE, or equivalent).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience supervising a diverse team
Prior Network Operations Leadership experience.
Excellent Written and oral communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Candidate must possess excellent leadership, organization, communication and time management skills.
