Foo d S e r v i c e Director Qualifications & Responsibilities :
- Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
- Submits written reports to the administration as necessary.
- Plans nutritionally balanced & therapeutic meals that reflect the likes and dislikes of residents, as well as Public Health regulations.
- Responsible for foo d purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
- Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
- Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate , terminates dietary employees.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Nursing home kitchen management
- Ability to work independently or part of a group.
- Computer knowledge
- 2-3 years experience in long term care preferred
