Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities from the Director of Construction role are:
- All field operations - ensuring workload, scheduling, workforce labor, materials, and other items are up to speed for the projects
- Meeting with clients during multiple phases of the project - proposals, kick off, updates, closing, and new business opportunities
- Traveling to job sites to check in on status
- Creating, implementing, and ensuring safety protocols are followed on site
- Analyze current internal processes to see if there are more efficient routes of scheduling, budgeting, or workforce distributing
- Assisting in hiring processes
- 15 years of experience with a general contractor or developer
- Commercial construction background is preferred
- Ground up experience is required
- Currently in a director or equivalent
- The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Strong track record with client relationships
- Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
- Base salary of $130,000 - $170,000, depending on experience
