A company in the Novi, MI area has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Manager within its Technology Systems Team. In this role you will partner with other business units to help deliver a robust, high-availability server architecture, that spans both on premise and cloud-based computing. The IT Systems Manager applies technical knowledge and hands-on skills to solve business problems by means of a systematic and disciplined approach. This position employs software, hardware, and/or communication technologies to accomplish assignments. Through familiarity with emerging computer and cloud technologies, coupled with industry recognized best practices, you will have the role of helping to provide a robust compute environment to our business. Responsibilities

• Prior experience in leading or managing a technical team.
• Excellent operational knowledge of hyper-converged, and hybrid server environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the migration and management of on-premise Microsoft Active Directory Environments to multi-tenant Microsoft Azure based environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Desktop and MacOS platforms within corporate environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft’s product portfolio including PowerShell Scripting, orchestration using InTune, SCCM and familiarity with PAM (Privileged Access Management).
• Proficient working experience with virtual server environments configurations, management and migration scenarios.
• Familiarity with various network protocols in both Windows & Linux environments. Including but not limited to – NFS, SMB, FTP, BIND DNS, SMTP.
• Experience in the provisioning and operation of enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel storage networks, and cloud-based backup and disaster recovery architectures.
• Experience in the negotiation and procurement of IT services and solutions.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience, or relevant work experience and certifications.
• Minimum 3 Years in Leading a Technology Team
• Proven experience and success with high availability server environments and cloud architectures
• Experience with network protocols such as NFS, CIFS, SMB, FTP, BIND DNS & SMTP
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with virtual environments, including system migrations, configuration, and management
• Experience with enterprise storage arrays and fiber channel storage networks
• Experience with high-availability compute environments
• Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Able to conduct research into system issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications from the following are preferred.

• A bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience or relevant work experience.
• Industry recognized certifications from Microsoft, VMWare or Cisco are highly desirable.
