JOB SUMMARY: As a Cannabis Compliance Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our greenhouse facility operates seamlessly within the regulatory framework set forth by the state of New York. You will be a vital link between our operations and compliance teams, ensuring that every aspect of our cannabis cultivation, production, and distribution processes adheres to the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Regulatory Expertise: Serve as the in-house expert on New York state cannabis regulations, keeping abreast of any changes or updates and interpreting their implications for our operations.
2. Cultivation Compliance: Collaborate with our cultivation team to ensure that all cultivation practices, including plant care, propagation, pest management, and environmental controls, comply with state regulations.
3. Production Oversight: Work closely with our production team to ensure that manufacturing processes, including extraction, infusion, packaging, and labeling, meet all regulatory requirements.
4. Testing Coordination: Coordinate with our testing partners to ensure that all cannabis products undergo required testing for potency, purity, and contaminants, and that results are properly documented.
5. Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all cultivation, production, and testing activities, ensuring that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for regulatory inspections.
6. Compliance Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, identifying any areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
7. Training and Education: Provide ongoing training and education to our staff on compliance-related topics, including regulatory updates, SOPs, and best practices.
8. Facility Inspections: Prepare the facility for regulatory inspections, ensuring that all required documentation and records are organized and available, and accompany inspectors during facility tours as needed.
9. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all cannabis products meet our quality standards and comply with regulatory specifications.
10. Security Measures: Collaborate with our security team to maintain a secure facility that meets state requirements for surveillance, access control, and inventory security.
11. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks, working proactively to prevent compliance issues and maintain our reputation as a compliant and trustworthy cannabis provider.
12. Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by the state of New York, including but not limited to inventory reports, waste disposal reports, and compliance reports.

QUALIFICATIONS-
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biology, horticulture, agriculture, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.

HOURLY PAY $18-30 DOE
EXPECTED HOURS 40 hours, shifts available from 7:00 am-3:30 pm or 9:00 am-5:30 pm, including some weekend availability.
