Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is a non-profit organization that supports the airport community with its talent acquisition needs. CAO has a proven track record for sourcing and staffing the right talent for top companies at JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia Airports. The Security Guard will work onsite at EWR Airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Observe and report suspicious activity and behavior to the Port Authority Police.
- Protect the areas to which they are assigned.
- Enforce rules and regulations as set forth by the Port Authority in the Airport Security Agent Manual, Manager Bulletins, etc.
- Familiarize themselves with all post orders.
- Maintain an operationally efficient post and help people who require assistance or information, provided doing so does not distract from or prevent successful completion of security services.
Qualifications
- Must have a SORA License
- 2 Years of Experience in Security or military with DD214 honorable discharge or criminal justice degree
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs for the equipment to inspect under vehicles.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must ce at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Must be reliable and available to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays
