The Phoenix Group is Hiring a Technology Trainer Near New York, NY

The Technology Learning & Communications Specialist will oversee and manage our Learning Management System (LMS). This position entails creating and delivering training content in collaboration with various departments and leadership to ensure all personnel are equipped with the necessary skills.

The Specialist will work with other departments to develop, implement, and execute mandatory training programs. They will assess technology training programs to ensure they meet business needs and will work closely with other teams to ensure consistency in the design and communication of all training programs.

The Specialist will also assist in preparing and distributing communications within the team and to the wider firm.

Main Duties

  • LMS Management: Oversee all LMS operations.
  • Mandatory Training Programs: Coordinate and manage global mandatory training programs.
  • Software Rollouts: Support software rollouts, including scheduling, content creation, and vendor collaboration.
  • Advanced Training: Provide advanced training for various practice groups as needed.
  • Video Editing: Edit videos for development courses.
  • Training Facilitation: Conduct both in-person and online training programs, ensuring they are maintained and updated.
  • Follow-Up: Follow up with participants for feedback and effectiveness assessment.
  • Program Evaluation: Develop methods to evaluate program strengths and improvement areas.
  • Program Development: Identify and develop new training programs using various methods.
  • Custom Courses: Lead the development of custom LMS-based courses.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with leaders to develop content meeting departmental needs and anticipate future needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and experts.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to develop engaging training content.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects and apply eLearning tools and adult learning theory.
  • Reporting: Produce status reports and address training content issues.
  • Training Support: Support training efforts and contribute to training strategies and eLearning plans.
  • Team Training: Train team members to ensure consistent program delivery.
  • Internal Communications: Prepare communications regarding technology changes.
  • Firmwide Communications: Prepare firmwide communications regarding technology changes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • 5 years in a technology, training, or learning development role
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred

  • Flexibility to travel to other offices
