Account Manager – Beverage Distribution
Summary:
Madison County beverage distributor is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships, driving sales growth, and expanding our market presence in Delaware and Blackford Counties. Your passion for beer and exceptional account management skills will play a vital role in achieving our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to maximize sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Identify and pursue new opportunities to increase revenue.
· Conduct regular sales visits and meetings with clients to understand their needs, address any concerns, and provide product recommendations.
· Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and develop effective strategies to drive sales and meet targets.
· Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and efficient customer service.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
· Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
· Participate in industry events, trade shows/promotions, and samplings/tastings to promote our brands and foster relationships with potential and existing clients.
Requirements:
· Self-starter with proven experience or demonstrated acumen in account management.
· Product presentation and merchandising experience.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
· Analytical and results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Proficient in using new software – particularly Microsoft Office, and sales analysis tools.
· Reliable transportation.
· Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation to visit client locations.
· Formal education preferred, but not required.
