Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services to ensure timely reimbursement. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice.

Duties:
- Review and verify patient information, medical records, and treatment plans
- Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and other coding systems
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients, and post them to patient accounts
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Proficiency in medical billing software systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9), and procedures
- Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
