Description

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time medical biller position for UT Hospitalists located at UT Medical Center. 

Team Member will review medical providers’ clinical documentation inpatient and outpatient while adhering to Medicare guidelines. Team Member will review providers’ documentation and adjust codes appropriately. Ensure the provider has entered the correct code(s) and adding modifiers as needed. Option of working hybrid schedule after fully trained. Must be reliable, possess the ability to work efficiently and be a team player. Team Member must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality within all aspects of job performance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs coding services and audits documentation before claims are submitted
Partners with providers and staff to improve quality and efficiencies in coding and documentation
Maintains HIPPA Guidelines for privacy.
Remains current in coding rules and guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year experience working in medical billing/coding with inpatient and outpatient Evaluation & Management (E/M) Services. 
• Adept at using billing software.
• Proficient in medical terminology, CPT/E/M, ICD-10, HCPCS coding
