Hunter | Everage is Hiring an Associate Attorney Near Montgomery, AL

The Alabama office of Hunter Everage is seeking Associate Attorneys with Workers' Compensation experience. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and office, learn from experienced litigators, participate in case strategy and development, and interact with and develop firm clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be active members and in good standing of the Alabama Bar.
Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle a caseload ranging from 100-200 cases;
  • Engage directly with clients to provide expert legal advice;
  • Draft legal documents, opinions, conduct negotiations;
  • Represent clients in hearings and motions, demonstrating strong advocacy and legal strategy skills
  • Work closely with legal assistants and support staff to prepare and manage cases
Requirements:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school;
  • An active member of the Alabama Bar;
  • 1-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law. Candidates with Plaintiff Personal Injury backgrounds may also be considered;
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus;
  • Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with case management systems;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; and
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
