Minnesota Autism Center is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Minnetonka, MN

We are seeking an experienced and independent Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, tax compliance, and benefits administration. They should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately.
  • Prepare and submit payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes, in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Generate payroll reports for management as needed.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
