About the Position:

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced information technology professional to join the company at its headquarters in Minneapolis. You will be responsible for analyzing current software programs, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to integrate new software into operations across all company locations. Your expertise will allow us to better align technology initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.

Required Skills:

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Understanding of network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Operating systems: Proficiency in various operating systems like Windows, Linux, Unix, MacOS, etc.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with computer hardware components, peripherals, and troubleshooting.
  • Software & Applications: Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software and applications.
  • Security: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, encryption, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Remote Access Technologies: Knowledge of remote desktop protocols, VPN setups, and remote support tools.
  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including basic networking concepts in the cloud environment.
  • Monitoring & Diagnostic Tools: Proficiency in implementing and using network monitoring tools, diagnostic utilities, and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Troubleshooting: Skill in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create, maintain and support ACRC and ACC infrastructure, hardware and software in a multiple application, multiple ERP IT operational environment. This includes support, training, and maintaining system documentation.
  • Serve as daily, primary technology contact for ACRC and ACC personnel and IT-related third parties.
  • Assist staff across both companies in troubleshooting and resolving software and systems-based issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze and document business processes, requirements and objectives for IT projects.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project activities, resources, and risks.
  • Manage project communication, documentation, and reporting to the ACRC and ACC management team.
  • Monitor IT industry standards and best practices and incorporate into ACC and ACRC’s technology operating environment.
  • Conduct testing, user acceptance, and training for future IT solutions.
  • Provide post-implementation/deployment support and feedback on new software and hardware.
  • Work with ACC and ACRC management to plan, test and execute technology-based business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Advise and support the strategic technology direction of the companies, including participation in applicable working group and management meetings when necessary.
  • Travel to company locations is periodically required
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years working experience as an IT Analyst or similar
  • Demonstrated success and growth in previous information technology positions
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop technical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience leading strategic technical projects
  • Professional communicator - with internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer-focused and collaborative attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distribution ERP software systems or similar
  • SQL or other comparable language aptitude
  • Crystal reports writing

Physical Demands:

  • Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
  • Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing
  • Will need to move around inside the office to access files, office and technology equipment
  • Must be able to operate basic office equipment
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry office equipment and supplies short distances
