Superior Healthcare Management is hiring for a Regional MDS Reimbursement Coordinator and would like to invite experienced MDS RN Coordinators with proven leadership and expertise to join our team! 

Purpose: This role will be responsible for ensuring that we are providing oversight, guidance, advocacy, training and information to our facilities and our facility staff, with the goal of ensuring appropriate services are delivered to our residents. 

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate and oversee Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments 
• Ensure that all assessments are completed and transmitted within required timeframes
• Establish the assessment reference date (ARD), reason for the assessment, accuracy, timely completion and submission

Education: 

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. 

Experience: 

• Five to seven years of experience as an MDS Coordinator 

Qualifications:

• Be in good standing with the Minnesota Health Board 
• Must have strong knowledge of the RAI/MDS process, Medicare, PPS, Case Mix, Therapy Utilization and State Reimbursement 
• Must be flexible and able to travel to the extent required 
• Audit facility MDS Coordinators assessments 
• Provide leadership and educational resources to facility coordinators 
• Review corporate QM reports, identify trends and assist facility leadership in developing Quality Improvement Incentive Programs and Performance Improvement Projects
• Familiarity with Point Click Care EMR systems 
• Must possess RAC-CT certification and/or complete six-months after hire 
• Provide facility MDS coordinator coverage as needed
