Wisconsin Voices is Hiring a Data Manager Near Milwaukee, WI

The Wisconsin Voices Data Manager will work in close collaboration with staff and partners to process partner data related requests; provide technical support and training; provide campaign design support and tracking processes for coordinated campaigns, regranted partner campaigns, and programs in a manner conducive to reporting as well as improving the year-after-year outcome of the campaigns and programs.

The Wisconsin Voices Data Manager will provide input and work in close collaboration with other staff to research and onboard new tech and tools, as well as set up backend infrastructure for existing tech and tools and data collection and maintenance.

This is a full-time salaried position. The position will be in person at the Milwaukee office, so applicants must live in or willing to relocate to the Greater Milwaukee area within 2 months of hire. Applicants must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and liability insurance if they will use a personal vehicle for work purposes when required. Some in-city, in-state, and out-of-state (overnight) travel may be required.

Core Job Duties:

  • Promote partner use of the Voter Activation Network (VAN) and the internal system for requesting data and tool support and training, then provide day to day and ongoing support and training.
  • In collaboration with other staff, design internal field, text, and phone campaigns and implement processes for tracking the outcomes. Additionally, in collaboration with other staff, provide support to partners in designing field, text, and phone campaigns and ensure the partner has the access and ability to track the outcomes through provision of training and support.
  • Provide partner support regarding phonebank, turf, walk, and text bank list and script creation using various best practices and current recommendations for script structure and messaging that best suits the partner requesting support.
  • Provide partner support regarding all other tech and tools being used by or provided to partners by Wisconsin Voices to implement and track campaigns and programs, possibly including, but not limited, to SPOKE, HUSTLE, BLOCK, Action Network; EveryAction; Mobilize; Slack; Zoom; Teams; G suite; etc.
  • Utilize existing tech and tool training materials to provide training to partners and staff related to data, tech, and tools, and consistently evolve those materials with an eye towards their being current and appealing to a diverse audience made up of different learning styles and aptitudes and meeting individuals where they are at with their learning journey.
  • In close collaboration with the Co-Executive Director of Organizational Empowerment, establish backend code and tag-scapes in new and existing tools overall and per campaign, and ensure incoming data is tracked appropriately and backend tag scapes are maintained in an ongoing manner. Generate weekly, monthly, and end of project reports using this data as requested.
  • Conduct tech and tool research projects for Wisconsin Voices and partners seeking to onboard new tech and tools related to program, project, and or campaign tracking and implementation geared towards making recommendations for onboarding new tech and tools based on cost, capacity, and functionality.
  • Perform data compilation, cleaning, entry, and maintenance projects as needed by staff and partners.
  • Schedule and complete monthly one-on-ones with assigned partners who are using Wisconsin Voices provided tech and tools to ensure a close and productive relationship is maintained and report out on these one-on-ones in staff meetings.
  • Design and provide current tech and tools and data training for staff and partners as an intro for new staff and partners and a refresher for existing staff and partners.
  • Form and maintain positive relationships with tech and tool vendors and support staff.
  • Stay apprised of current changes and trends in data, tech and tools that are relevant to the work Wisconsin Voices and our partners do and seek out and take part in ongoing professional development opportunities to advance continued skill development.
  • Participate in weekly check-ins with direct supervisor, weekly staff meetings, and other staff and partner meetings as needed.
  • Staff all Wisconsin Voices hosted events and activities as requested by management and attending partner events and activities when possible.
  • Other relevant job duties as assigned.

Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000

Benefits: paid time off, sick, vision, dental, health, and 401k.
