DescriptionJob Summary:The Project Engineer will be responsible for executing a variety of projects related to pipelines, compressor stations and gas processing facilities. This individual will work alongside field personnel and construction managers to oversee projects from conception to completion.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process for the Project Engineer’s designated area.
- Apply data gathered from pipeline simulations to real world scenarios.
- Analyze process simulations and demonstrate an ability to relate them to projects.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and interpret results.
- Communicate technical project details to construction managers and provide guidance for execution.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day project issues with the construction group.
- Conduct regular field meetings with construction and operational personnel.
- Relay high level project details to stakeholders and share project schedules with management.
- Periodic daily travel to and from various gas processing facilities.
- Effective in team settings
- Ability to communicate with both business and technical minded individuals.
- Collaborate between various engineering disciplines.
- Willingness to explore and offer alternative ideas.
- Receptive to guidance but not limited to it.
- Exemplifies integrity and trustworthiness.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of gas processing experience
- Prior knowledge of natural gas gathering and processing facilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with process simulation software packages
- An understanding of the various PSM elements
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g. API, ASME, etc.)
- A good driving record is required and must be maintained.
- Reside and report to WTG headquarters in Midland, TX.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
