RECAP's Facilities Department is seeking a dedicated Building Superintendent to join our team. We are responsible for the upkeep of 31 supportive housing program properties and office buildings throughout Orange County. The Building Superintendent will primarily focus on the 34 Mill Street building and will be provided with residence at 34 Mill Street Apt 3n. This role is integral to our mission of maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building and grounds maintenance, including lawn care and painting.
• Ensure common areas are clean and free of debris.
• Conduct routine repairs to kitchen appliances, electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Assist with snow removal and monthly inspections for preventive maintenance.
• Document maintenance issues, emergencies, and special occurrences.
• Participate in stand-by emergency schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Inspect both interior and exterior premises at the beginning and end of shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in property maintenance or janitorial roles.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, concrete/masonry, painting, and flooring.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of ceiling fans, doors, windows, toilets, sinks.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
• Valid driver's license.
