Who We’re Looking ForWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Development Associate to support our development department. The successful candidate will have experience working on a development team in complex, high growth company structures and will have an aptitude for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Manage development related activities across all three platforms: self-storage, marinas and multifamily.
- Assist in market studies to help identify potential development projects.
- Navigate Zoning and Building Code restrictions in multiple jurisdictions to understand impact on project feasibility, identify site constraints and opportunities.
- Generate and evaluate new development opportunities
- Coordinate 3rd party design and entitlement efforts activities to include:
- Surveying
- Site Planning Civil Design
- Geotech coordination
- Building Plans
- Architectural
- Structural
- MEP
- Critically think through design development impacts on financial feasibility, with a primary focus on design and budget implications
- Assist in the transition from entitlement to pre-construction groundbreaking.
RequiredWhat You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Finance.
- 2 years of progressive development related experience
- Experience and knowledge across the life-cycle of development projects
- Experience working in complex company/entity structures with expansive geographic footprint.
- Prior experience with pre-construction and construction administration.
- AutoCAD and photoshop experience preferred.
