Yamaha Motor is Hiring a Product Line Manager Near Marietta, GA

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Product Line Manager to join our Motorsports team in Marietta, GA. The Product Line Manager will be responsible for executing strategies to support the achievement of the company's business and brand objectives for Yamaha products. This will include strategic planning, product development, marketing, sales and ongoing management. The Product Line Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product line meets customer needs, achieves revenue targets, and maintains a competitive edge in the market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive the MTO and LTP (3-10 yr. business plan) for managed area in line with YMUS goals, with the responsibility for strategy development, implementation, and results.
  • Fiscal year Sales and Budget forecasting and management to maximize profitability (P&L responsibility)
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the product category, understanding its use, application(s) and market dynamics. Be the face of the product, spokesperson whenever necessary.
  • Implement Marketing 4P's strategies for core product responsibilities:
    • Product: Collaborate with Product Planning Division to develop Product Roadmap that exceeds future customer expectations.
    • Pricing: Work with Sales Planning Division to manage production, inventory, and sales. Develop promotional campaigns as needed to meet business goals and customer needs.
    • Place: Align long-term Product Line goals with Motorsports Network and sales channel strategy.
    • Promotion: Work closely with marketing teams to develop marketing plans, campaigns, and collateral to drive awareness and demand for product. Provide input into branding, messaging, and go-to-market strategies to effectively position products in the market.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams (Domestic and International), including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support, to coordinate activities and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all product related initiatives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and buying behavior within your target market. Gather feedback through surveys, interviews, and other channels to continuously improve your product line and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting to executive and leadership teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Decision Making Responsibility

  • Fully autonomous to develop and execute product management utilizing and interfacing directly with company resources and personnel to do so. Department management or above agreement and approval of significant financial or contractual commitments, messaging prior to delivery.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • 10 years' Motorsports, automotive or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally with many different internal business functions and external organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, databases and reporting systems.
  • Exceptional Strategy Development, Planning and Implementation ability.
