Manteca Area Soccer League is Hiring a Director of Coaching Near Manteca, CA

Position Title: Director of Coaching (DOC)

Location: Manteca, California

Type: Fulltime Contract Position

Salary: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 (DOE)

MASL is seeking a seasoned soccer professional and dynamic business leader to serve as our Director of Coaching. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering a culture centered on player development and community inclusivity, with the aim of positively influencing every aspect of our soccer program.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Coaching will oversee the development of all players within MASL and influence player development in coordination with the Rec Commissioner and the Recreational program. Duties include:

- Creating a consistent vision for the club that prioritizes a player-centric and family-centric culture.

- Developing and overseeing player development expectations, programs, curriculums, and assessment models.

- Ensuring roster formation and management compliance, sustainable allocation of financial aid, and tryout organization.

- Implementing camp and clinic programs to support players and recreational soccer enthusiasts.

- Assisting coaching staff with team placement, tournament guidance, and league selection.

- Providing guidance to coaches on team placement and league competitiveness.

- Interacting with parents on escalated issues.

- Recruiting, evaluating, and training coaches.

- Overseeing coach development programs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

- Holding regular coach meetings and training sessions.

- Creating a consistent club "style of play" curriculum.

- Reporting monthly updates to the Executive Director and Commissioners.

- Establishing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders.

- Representing MASL publicly to build brand awareness and support.

- The responsibilities reflect essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Stipulations:

- The DOC cannot train players in any other soccer organization – individually, by team or otherwise without proper approval from Board of Directors of MASL.

- The DOC must disclose all outside affiliations and/or conflicts of interest that may exist.

Requirements:

- USSF Coaching License C minimum

- 4 Years of experience in coaching competitive soccer

- Required to use discretion when dealing with confidential information

- Proven results for club advancement

Preferred Requirements:

- USSF Coaching License A

- 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree

- Experience implementing club wide systems of development

Compensation:

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Terms:

The Director of Coaching position is a contracted position with a term of one (1) year. This position may or may not be renewed at the end of the term at the discretion of the Board of Directors for MASL.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check and live scan fingerprinting with results consistent with federal and state laws for working with children.
