Tioga/ Bradford County Housing Authority is Hiring a Health and Safety Technician Near Mansfield, PA
LOCATION: Central Office Mansfield, PA.
Extensive travel required between Tioga and Bradford Counties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or successful completion of GED; basic mechanical background, operate with little to no supervision, excellent customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain good rapport with the public, residents, and co-workers; must pass a drug and background screening. Good driving record.
DUTIES:
1. Control pests of various types in and around Housing Authority buildings and resident apartments.
2. Great working relationship with outside pest control agencies.
3. Ensure safety and good working relationships of residents, staff and others within the Housing Authority buildings while performing duties.
4. Operate and maintain Pest Management Equipment,
5. Inspect property, determine problem, and implement the most effective solution.
6. Receive work orders and work requests, determine nature of the problem and undertake
necessary actions.
7. Operate and maintain heating equipment and various power and hand tools in performance of duties.
8. Learn and understand extensive HUD guidelines.
9. Maintain records and files and prepare reports on activities.
10. Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations governing pesticide
application.
11. Perform related work as required.
12. Obtain Pesticide Applicator Certification within 90 days of hire.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am- 4pm (1/2 hour paid lunch)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.08 - $21.32 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
