About the Job
As an Ultrasound Sonographer, individuals perform vital vascular ultrasound examinations, primarily of patients' lower extremities, while ensuring efficient office workflow and delivering exceptional patient service. This role is available across Affirmed Healthcare's Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Bethpage clinic locations, with availability required between 7am-8pm and weekends as needed. Responsibilities include conducting ultrasound examinations to create Venous Flow Maps, assisting physicians in explaining treatment plans to patients, setting up and cleaning procedure rooms, performing additional ultrasound examinations as required, adhering to time allotments for each exam, collaborating with staff to ensure efficient patient care and safety, maintaining skills through continued education, and managing equipment and supply inventory. Requirements include a Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program, Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT/RVS/RpHS) certification, cultural sensitivity, excellent patient care skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, multitasking ability, prioritization skills, and teamwork capabilities.
