The Madison Animal Clinic is seeking an motivated and compassionate person to fill the role of kennel attendant. The Madison Animal Clinic is a full service veterinary hospital providing a wide range of services to our patients including general wellness care, surgery, radiology, ultrasound, and more. We are dedicated to providing top quality care to our dog and cat patients.

Ideal candidate for the role must be able to do the following effectively and accurately:

Provide general husbandry to hospitalized and boarding animals, which includes feeding, watering, waste clean up, giving medications as directed by veterinarian or veterinary technician.

Perform general hospital cleaning and upkeep duties.

Provide assistance and support to the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician accordance with hospital policy and procedures.

Other pertinent duties as needed.

General working condition considerations:

Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and maneuver to effectively perform job duties.

Lift and carry 45 pounds and over 45 pounds with another team member.

Must be confident around pets. Will work with pets that may occasionally bite and/or scratch.

Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with team members and clients.

Weekend shifts are required. Average 20-25 hours a week.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 26 per week
