Position Purpose

Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing of inventory. Responsible for the control of goods packaging and dispatch of all materials to customers and sub-contractors. Serve as a lead over one or more assigned warehouse function; train and provide lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff.

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

• Ensure that all personnel are provided suitable training to perform required tasks.
• Evaluate personnel performance based on task requirements.
• Prioritize all orders by ensuring that orders are pulled and/or packaged and dispatched to meet customer requirements.
• Arrange personnel to enable jobs to be completed to meet the required delivery procedures.
• Ensure all orders are correctly packaged and prepared for shipment.
• Ensure all orders are shipped in the appropriate manner based on customer agreements.
• Establish and maintain good standards of communication, relations and initiative with all other departments
• Understand, cooperate and comply with the plans and objectives as directed by the management team.
• Optimize the work output between all personnel within the section.
• Practice the professional standards set by the company at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and understanding of personnel development and team building
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Associate’s Degree or Equivalent
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Operate a forklift and other equipment utilized in the warehouse
