POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to act as a Motorsport Sales Manager in the Marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS
The company has a wide range of customer-specific requirements in the Motorsport divisions:
  • The post holder is required to carry out effective management of the commercial team whilst maximizing opportunities, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts in the Motorsport environment.
  • Carry out the strategic formulation for future business development
  • Work with Procurement to ensure proper levels of stock
  • Work with all departments within Goodridge to maximize productivity
  • Engage and lead with Marketing initiatives and strategy
  • Assist in budget development and maintenance
  • Be the customer voice at Goodridge
  • Oversee organic growth
  • Maximize opportunity, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts
  • NBO and new customers added to the Portfolio
  • Provide exceptional customer service levels to gain customer confidence
  • Become the fluid transfer “problem solver” for all levels of race teams
  • Develop technical partnerships with chassis builders and engine builders
  • Promote Goodridge products to all levels of professional and sportsman race teams
  • Work with website sales contacts to ensure opportunities are maximized
  • Work on the Motorsport team to promote a positive work environment 
  • Strategy formulation for future business development
  • Ensure effective system, procedure, end user and internal documentation is maintained effectively
  • Provide general good housekeeping
  • Uphold all Company Procedures
  • Be able to prepare and generate reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Be professional internally and externally
  • Constantly strive to improve efficiencies 
Qualifications (Education | Certification | Experience)
  • The ideal candidate will be professional both internally and externally; constantly striving to improve efficiencies within the commercial department.
  • Excellent standards of communication, initiative and relations with all other departments are achieved.
  • The position holder understands and then carries out plans and objectives agreed with their unit Manager.
  • Satisfactory performance is reached to maximize work output.
  • Always working towards scoring above and beyond customer expectations internally and externally.
  • The professional standards set out by the company are practiced at all times.
  • Reporting to be legible and illuminating, professional and data-driven.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role within a Motorsports company.
  • Experience of managing customer accounts in an automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of Fluid Transfer systems would be a distinct advantage.
  • Have a keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong continuous improvement background. 
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Understands ISO Standards and the importance of quality production standards.
  • Successful market-related work experience as important as a Bachelor’s Degree.
