Full Metal Canning is a growing co-packing company in Longmont, CO producing a variety of beverages (alcohol, coffee, tea, sodas, etc.) for clients. The position of Production Tech I is to operate the depalletizer, pack-out, and pasteurizers of the canning line(s) during assigned hours. The ideal candidate will be required to operate in an industrial setting, perform repetitive tasks throughout their shift and ensure a clean safe work environment.

• Monitor and operate the depalletizer, pack-out, and pasteurization stations including but not limited to set-up, operation, breakdown, changeover, cleaning, and performing preventative maintenance of assigned stations.
• Focus on keeping the packaging line running safely and efficiently
• Stage production runs for both production halls.
• Ensure the depalletizer and pack-off stations are set up with all materials necessary for the day's production run.
• Ensure the following shift is setup with supplies and stations are clean.
• Keep production halls, including equipment, floors, and walls, clean and sanitized to meet and exceed food safety and quality guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Keeping all machines operating and looking brand new.
• Create requisitions for failed or failing parts on production equipment.
• Loss Prevention:
• Address and/or report station issues as they arise to supervisors or Production Techs 2 or 3.
• Ensure production supplies quantities are monitored and create requisition requests to the Production Manager as needed.
• Follow all company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Must be able to pick up and stack 35 lb cases for a sustained period and occasionally 60 lb cases. Must be able to pull hoses, bend down and clamp hoses under tanks and lift 35 lb above your head.
• Must be able to work in wet environments and while standing on concrete flooring during the course of the shift.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a packaging brewery, on a packaging line, or related field preferred (food production).
• Must comply with food safety standards as set by the company.
• Good mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to follow SOPs and follow safety requirements required.
• Must be able to be at work on time regularly, stay on task, and work with a dynamic task schedule.
• Must be able to work in a team environment, get along with others, and be comfortable delegating tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
