Starting Pay: $15/hr

Work Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday

Job Description:

The Yard Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of a salvage yard, including but not limited to sorting, torching, and moving materials, maintaining equipment and facilities, and providing support to other team members as needed. General clean-up is a regular task.

Essential Functions:

• Sorting metal in the yard
• Torching metal to cut into smaller pieces.
• Clean and rake grounds as time permits.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including all PPE task requirements.

Experience/Skills:

• Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work and stay on task with minimal supervision.
• Previous torch experience preferred.

Work environment:

• Outside All Seasons.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the job's essential functions, including completion of all productivity standards.
• The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance is necessary.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the radio.
• Must be able to lift and move assorted sizes of metal throughout the shift.
• Lift at least 50lbs at one time.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
