Controller Job Description:

Masis Professional Group has an immediate need for a Controller for a very well established and growing management firm in the Lincoln, Rhode Island area on a full-time permanent basis. As the Controller you will manage an accounting and clerical department as well as planning and directing all operational accounting functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
• Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
• Work closely with the executive team to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation
• Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the forecasts
• Analyze, apply, and improve policies, procedures, controls, and most methodologies
• Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
• Present executive committee with monthly financial reports
• Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Controller Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Past work in service, technology, analytics, and management experience is highly valued
• Deep understanding of Analyze Financial Statements
