Casa Bonita Overview
Casa Bonita is an iconic Mexican-themed restaurant and entertainment mecca in Lakewood, Colorado. Known as “the most exciting restaurant in the world,” the category-defining concept is an immersive experience that features dining in the midst of a 30-foot-tall indoor waterfall, cliff divers, puppeteers, magicians, and a mystical cast of characters. Casa Bonita is celebrating its 50th anniversary of being a part of the Denver community with a fan-base that continues to grow globally.
Responsibilities:

• All job duties must be performed onsite.
• Adheres to all food and safety procedures
• Performs all job-related functions in a cordial, friendly manner with a commitment to exceeding team member expectations.
• Helps with communication from line level staff to Chefs as needed.
• Assisting in ensuring all prepping and cooking of food happens according to recipe.
• Preparing all menu items to plate presentation specifications repetitively, including portion size, presentation, and cleanliness
• Prepare all food orders to above standards within ticket time specifications
• Ability to staff and use a fryer for extended periods of time
• Ability to use other kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, blenders, mixers,
• Preferred have experience with chill blaster
• Ensuring all food items are correctly stored
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures
• Cleaning kitchen appliances and machines before shift end
• Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries
• Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists

Position Requirements:

• Must have a minimum 1 year work experience in a kitchen environment
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand, walk, run during complete working shift
• Must be able to communicate clearly with team for all responsibilities of the job.
• Must attend all orientation and training shifts
• Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
• Able to lead and work as a team
• Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required as well as the ability to work well under pressure
• Willing to follow procedures and take direction
• Supportive of other team members
• Can compete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, days, late nights, holidays and special events. All shifts include a minimum of one weekend day.
• PTO Blackout period from Thanksgiving week till January. (Though we are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas for employees to spend with their families.)

Physical & Environmental Demands:

• Able to stand for long periods of time and walk often at a brisk pace
• Able to walk up inclines and stairs and down declines and stairs multiple times during a shift
• Capable of sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds
• Able to work and perform job tasks in small spaces
• Possesses fine motor skills and dexterity
• Able to withstand temperatures typical within an commercial kitchen setting
• Able to withstand noise levels typical of a high-volume kitchen
• Able to perform job duties efficiently in lighting conditions typical of an commercial restaurant and commercial kitchen
• Able to work calmly under pressure and at a fast pace, typical of a high volume restaurant and commercial kitchen
• Capable of and at ease with engaging with the public, potentially encountering challenging behavior, infectious diseases, and service animals
