Job Summary:We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Payroll Analyst to join our team. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, analyzing payroll data, and ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll systems and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing:Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for all employees.Verify and enter employee time and attendance data.Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.Distribute paychecks and direct deposit statements.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues.Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.Generate regular payroll reports for management review and audits.Compliance:Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations.Prepare and file required payroll tax reports and payments.System Management:Maintain and update payroll system data.Collaborate with HR and IT to improve payroll system efficiency.Test and implement payroll system updates and upgrades.Employee Support:Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.Provide support and guidance on payroll-related issues and concerns.Conduct training sessions for employees on payroll processes and systems.Audit and Reconciliation:Perform regular payroll reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.Assist with internal and external payroll audits.Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare month-end and year-end closing reports.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.Experience:3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and analysis.Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday).Skills:Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications:Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
