The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and managing cost accounting data related to product manufacturing. This role also involves reviewing procurement, warehousing, and distribution processes to accurately assign costs to each activity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyze and maintain data on operational costs, focusing on inventory and cost of sales.
Evaluate actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic variance reports by comparing estimated costs to actual production costs, providing insights to management.
Determine the costs of business activities, including raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
Maintain and publish regular reports for executive updates.
Coordinate and participate in cycle counting and physical inventory audits.
Develop and review manufacturing budgets to establish labor and overhead rates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in cost accounting preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is advantageous.
A combination of relevant training, education, and experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered.

Pay: $30 - $38/HR
